(day 4)

It’s the last day of this year, and how this year has flown by!!  This year marked the start of my 6th decade… or my third 3rd.  And I have to say, there’s something both confronting and liberating with this fact.   While we never know when our time is “up”, we absolutely do know that as we age it’s getting closer.  So there’s a bit of pressure to make sure that we are doing the things that are important to us;  that we engage in activities that are meaningful and satisfying and that we connect with those who resonate and complete us.

As I reflect on this year, I feel so fortunate to say that I am absolutely engaging in life in this manner.  And my deepest wish is that all people can find themselves on a similar path.

As I think back on this year, I am blessed with deep gratitude and appreciation.

I am so grateful for my health, my spirit, and my zest for life – all of which enables me to engage in work that brings me much satisfaction and makes a difference for others.

I am so grateful for people with whom I’ve studied and learned new ideas and perspectives.  I’m grateful for our conversations that feed my mind  and nourish my soul.

I am so grateful for my friends and family who honor me with their kindness, generosity and love.

I am so grateful for my daughter and son-in-law for their love and devotion.

I am so grateful my granddaughter who brings me nothing but pure, unadulterated joy.

I am so grateful for my husband who is so proud of me and supports me in all that I do.

I am so grateful for the people who have chosen to work with me and allowed me to be part of their lives.

I am so grateful to my students who allow me to challenge their assumptions and beliefs that open up new ways of engaging in life.

Thank you all for being part of my life!

2015… the year of Discovery, Discipline and Growth!!!
